FAQs for Corporate Relocation Programs
How do you integrate with our program's existing structure?
1
I work within your program's existing intake and communication protocols — whether that means a standard orientation-level engagement, a mid-level search, or a high-touch VIP concierge approach for your most senior assignees. Once authorized, I connect directly with the family and keep your team informed with status updates and documentation in whatever format your program requires.
What does a typical engagement look like from authorization to close?
2
Once I receive an authorization, I reach out to the family to begin intake — sometimes through a warm handoff from your team, sometimes directly. From there the process moves through school research, recommendations, and support through admissions and enrollment. Some cases move quickly — a focused search can close in four to six weeks. Others follow a longer admissions cycle. Timelines are always shaped by the family's situation and school availability.
Do you assist with preschool placement?
3
Yes — and this is an area many consultants decline. Preschool placement is availability-driven and time-consuming, thus, helping families with this process is one of the most valuable benefits they can receive.
Do you accompany families on school visits?
4
Yes, depending on scheduling and location. Accompaniment requires advance notice and involves additional fees based on the itinerary, number of schools, and travel required.
Do you accept compensation from schools for placements?
5
No. I neither solicit nor accept compensation from schools or third parties. My recommendations are always independent and solely in the best interest of the family.
Do you advise families who are moving internationally or returning from abroad?
6
My international work focuses on private school placement, with active experience in England and Canada. For other destinations, I welcome the inquiry — coverage depends on the destination and the scope of the search. Please reach out to discuss your specific program's needs.
Do you guarantee school placement?
7
No — and any consultant who does should be approached with caution. What I do is ensure that families are as well-informed as possible going into every decision. When the focus is on genuine fit, that's where the best outcomes occur. My role is to make sure the right questions are being asked and the right schools are being considered — the rest follows from there.
Do you work with senior executives and high-profile clients? How is confidentiality handled?
8
Yes. A significant portion of my casework has involved senior executives and their families, and I understand the discretion those engagements require. Client information is never shared, discussed, or referenced without explicit consent. I adhere to strict confidentiality standards as outlined in the IECA Principles of Good Practice, and I treat every case — regardless of profile — with the same level of care and privacy.
